Perhaps I was a trifle hasty in setting May 28 as We’re Still Here Day as yet another prediction for the Second Coming has surfaced.[1] Harold Camping of Family Radio has announced May 21 of next year as the authoritative date.[2]

It’s all based, of course, on a numerical analysis of Revelation. (How else could it possibly be determined?)

Camping has done this before. He previously worked out that the Second Coming would be September 6, 1994 and along with several dozen followers patiently waited for it, Bibles open. He was wrong then, he will be proven wrong again. You can count on it.

Footnote:

  1. Biblical scholar’s date for rapture: May 21, 2011 by Justin Berton, SFGate.
  2. Effective May 22, 2011 and the abject and very public failure of Camping’s prophecy, May 22 has been set as We’re Still Here Day in the Calendar.
