The problem with this is that most people will not realise what you mean when you say “I believe in God”. If you then go on to explain, you might as well just say “I believe in the unknown”.
There is no reason to say “God bless America” if you don’t believe in God, or if you believe that he won’t. Other people’s belief in God should not interfere with State.
