Also, I just saw in the magazine Science News (March 25, page 180) that Loren Rieseberg of Indiana University has reported (in Nature, March 23) that both animal and plant species can occasionally mate with individuals in other (but fairly similar) species, so “species boundaries” are somewhat fuzzy, after all. (Sci. News is in most public libraries and high school libraries.)
