The Vatican found it necessary to “clarify” Pope Francis’ remarks about atheists being able to do good. The clarification made it clear that doing good means nothing in eternity. Atheists along with all non-Catholics who are aware of Catholicism all get to go to hell regardless of how good they were in life.
In line with what Francis said a few weeks earlier – if you don’t pray to his god, then as far as he’s concerned, you are praying to the devil.
