A Miscellany

I guess I’ve been doing it all wrong for that past twenty years. A little graphic I put together in less than five minutes and put on Facebook got more distribution in two days – more views – more shares – than anything I’ve ever written on this site.

I thought of it as just a throw-away bit of commentary, and I didn’t even “brand” it with ApatheticAgnostic.com, something which might have generated a continuing flow of visitors as the graphic continues to float around the internet.

I’ve never done site promotion – I’ve relied on word-of-mouth, recommendations from site visitors. I’m not much of a self-promoter and I’m probably not about to change. But I would like to see more of what I do here, along with the efforts of other contributors, reach a wider audience.

So I’d like to ask some of you to do a little more. If you see something you like, feel free to share it. I’m not asking you to share “trash” and I suppose there’s more than enough of that here. But I think there’s some good material too. If you find something interesting, useful, or amusing, please share it on social media – or “like” it if someone else has posted it.

If this site is going to reach a wider audience, it needs your help to find that audience.
