A Miscellany 36
by JT
Phil submitted his cris de coeur about being forced to watch this boring (to him) event on Thursday, immediately prior to three exciting days of racing. A breakaway caught at the line, a successful one man breakaway, and a successful two man breakaway. And two days of spirited direct competition between Armstrong, Basso, and Uhlrich in the tough mountain climbs of the Pyrenees, demonstrating why they are considered the best.
It’s all a matter of taste, I suppose.
Given that Phil has to watch because of some sort of deal he made with his girlfriend, (Invest in a second screen, Phil.) I suggest that this supports my theory that the Tour de France really is a metaphor for life.
