The Four Agreements

Although I’m not a fan of Don Miguel Ruiz’ philosophy overall (a little too new age spiritual for me), I find his Four Agreements rather compelling in their simplicity. Obviously they can be interpreted in any number of ways, but they aren’t supposed to be ‘commandments’, so much as ‘pointers’.
- Be impeccable with your word
- Don’t take things personally
- Don’t make assumptions
- Always do your best (i.e. don’t beat yourself up if you can’t be a Jedi Master in the above three categories)
