Anselm’s “proof” is mere wordplay.
The universe at large has no facility for usefully defining “greater,” so the notion of comparative superiority is irrelevant.
In any case, the argument is no comfort to creationists, since a supreme being greater in intellectu could not have existed prior to the development of intellect. Where was Anselm’s deity on those first five days?
